We offer a free 15-minutes initial consultation, via email or phone, to identify your concerns and reasons for seeking counseling services. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process, and to see if you feel we are a “good fit”. Subsequent sessions are $185 for one 50- minute session of individual counseling or $195 for one 50-minute session of couples counseling, not including GST. All payments are due at the end of each session.
We have a limited number of “sliding fee scale” slots available in our schedule for individuals experiencing financial hardship.
Counseling services are not covered by Alberta Health Services. However, most extended health plans provide coverage for the services. It is important that you find out exactly what counseling services your insurance policy covers. If your insurance plans do include counseling services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker, you are still required to make full payment at the time of service; then you will be issued a receipt which you may submit to the insurance company for reimbursement. Approval of services and amount of remuneration may be determined by the insurance company on a case by case basis based. The following list includes insurance providers who have approved claims for counseling services.
