WHAT'S ARE THE COUNSELLING RATES?

Individual Counseling Fee – $220 per Session (50 minutes).

Couple/ Family Counselling Fee – $220 per session (50 Minutes )

Report / Letter Writing – $220

Online/ Group workshop ($110)

Anger Management Condensed Private Session – $440

Alcohol or Drug Assessment/ SAP Report/ Fitness for Duty Evaluation – $1350

Capacity assessment for Adult guardianship and trusteeship– $700

Do I NEED A REFERRAL TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ?

A referral from a physician is not required to book an appointment. Anybody can simply seek out counselling and contact Edmonton Counselling Services on their own to begin therapy.

DO YOU OFFER DIRECT BILLING TO INSURANCE COMPANIES ?

We offer direct billing to major insurances plans, so you have one less thing to worry about. The following is list includes insurance providers, we provide direct billing for counseling services.

Please check with your insurance company about the benefits and coverage. You are responsible for all co-payments and deductibles at the time of service.

WILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY REIMBURSE FOR COUNSELLING ?

Please contact your insurance provider before the first counselling session to see if Registered Social Worker ( RSW), or Clinical Counselor / Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC) is a part of your insurance plan and to verify how your plan reimburses you for counselling services.

Some insurance plan offer their employees a Health Spending Account (HSA). HSA may allow for counselling sessions under their Health Benefits insurance coverage.

I am authorized “medical practitioner” for the purpose of claiming medical expenses on income tax returns. My fees is eligible medical expenses you may claim on your tax return for tax credit.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Your counseling appointment requires your counselor to reserve a significant amount of time exclusively for your session. To provide our clients with the best possible service, a considerable amount of time goes into preparing for each appointment. We have a policy regarding cancellations and missed appointments.

Edmonton Counselling Services (ECS) maintains a 48 hours cancellation, rescheduling and missed appointment policy. ECS cannot direct bill any insurance company for missed appointments or late rescheduling/ cancellation fees, and as such, the client will be required to pay the entire fee.

Cancellations and rescheduling with more than 48 hours are perfectly acceptable and we are happy to assist you in finding a time and date that work better for you.

Clients are responsible to pay the total cost of the session if they cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice or do not show up for their appointment.

WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER TAKING COUNSELLING ?

If you fee you are struggling, stuck, or overwhelmed with a specific area of your life, or if you want growth, healing and greater joy, seeking counseling can be an excellent option.

Perhaps you are dealing with anxiety, angry sad, hurt, depressed, confused or frustrated. Alternatively, Maybe you are struggling with your relationships with your family and having communication challenges with your spouse, family, parents, children, co-workers or friends.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A INITIAL APPOINTMENT ?

The first counseling meeting is essential for determining several things. You and your therapist will take the time to get to understand each other (e.g., sharing background and beginning to defining your goals for the counseling).

It is an opportunity for your therapist to know you, and for you to ask questions about, the subsequent counseling sessions.

It’s usual for people to feel a little hesitant coming to the first session, but by the end of the meeting, the individual should feel much more comfortable. It is essential that you and your counselor assess whether counselor is the appropriate person to work with you and that you believe you can work well with each other. By the end of the first session, your counselor should provide feedback and advice for your future counseling sessions.

At the first session, you and your counsellor will plan future appointments. Continuity of counselling is an important part of gaining all the benefits so please plan ahead in scheduling appointments.

A valid Credit card is required to book the appointment.

WHEN I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY APPOINTMENT ?

Fees must be paid in full at time of booking of appointment unless alternate third party payment arrangements have been made in advance. Your payment information is collected when you submit an appointment request. Once the appointment your requested is confirmed or if you booked the online appointment, your credit card will be charged for the entire amount at that time to secure the time spot.
