When life is overwhelming, I focus on giving you the tools that can bring immediate relief.
Edmonton Counselling Services has initiated a program to mitigate barriers to access within our community. We are pleased to announce the addition of an intern therapist who will provide lower-cost counselling services. An intern therapist is an individual pursuing a master’s degree in counselling or psychology who has completed all theoretical coursework and is now prepared to apply the acquired skills in practical settings.
Our intern therapists address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, and grief. They offer their services to individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds. The foundational modalities employed by our intern therapists are evidence-based and primarily encompass cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and person-centred approaches. Each intern therapist may also have specific interests in various areas or theoretical frameworks.
